Why? What’s up?
A while ago I submitted one of my poems to a contest. Apparently it has been ‘certified’ “as a semi-finalist,” and it’s going to be published in a collection of poems.
Also:
As a survivor of sexual abuse and I have a mental illness on top of that, I give a giant FUCK YOU to the person who submitted this. Normally, I ignore the ones that offend me, because it ain’t worth my anger, but this shit got to me. First of all, people who have been sexually assaulted deal with it in different ways, some people talk about their experiences, and others don’t. Hey submitter, your fucking privilege is showing.
Yeah. This upset me, too.
It’s great if you don’t let problems overpower you to the point of not being able to talk about them. And some people need to be able to talk about stuff.
